Learn more about Zentia and our certifications.
Our ISO Certifications
Both of our factories in Gateshead are certified to ISO 9001, a standard which sets out the criteria for a quality management system, including a strong focus on customers, senior management, process approach, and continual improvement. In fact, continual improvement is one of Zentia’s core values and features in everything from our brand messaging to our people’s performance evaluations. We’re always aiming to do better for our customers.
The ISO 14001 standard specifies the requirements for an environmental management system that an organisation can use to enhance its environmental performance, fulfil compliance obligations, and achieve environmental objectives. Applying to both of our factories, ISO 14001 certification is a core foundational element of our developing sustainability policies and practices.
Applying to our mineral fibre plant only, ISO 45001 sets our requirements for an occupational health and safety management system. It helps us provide a safe and healthy workplace for our people, helping us to prevent work-related injury and ill health, and proactively improve our health and safety performance.

Zentia is on a sustainability journey of its own and we are working hard to research our key improvement areas. Zentia has recently established a sustainability committee to assess our environmental impact in more depth, beyond the scope of our ISO 14001 certification. We intend to set rigorous and trackable goals that will have a positive, measurable impact on our manufacturing processes and reduce our carbon footprint.
