Building Rating Schemes

Zentia’s suspended ceiling solutions can help your project gain credits on several building rating schemes. Find out more below.

Building rating schemes

LEED is one of the foremost international standards for the design, construction, and operation of high-performance structures. LEED v4 is a more flexible, performance-based approach that calls for measurable results throughout a building’s lifecycle and allows for a more streamlined user experience. Zentia’s suspended ceiling solutions can help your building achieve LEED v4’s more goal-oriented credits.

BREEAM is an international scheme that provides independent third-party certification of the assessment of the sustainability performance of individual buildings, communities, and infrastructure projects. Third-party certification involves the checking of the assessment of a building or project by a qualified and licensed BREEAM Assessor to ensure it meets the quality and performance standards of the scheme.

The WELL Building Standard version 2 is a vehicle for buildings and organisations to deliver more thoughtful and intentional spaces that enhance human health and well-being. WELL v2 includes a set of strategies that aim to advance human health through design interventions and operational protocols and policies and foster a culture of health and well-being.

SKA rating is an environmental assessment method, benchmark and standard for non-domestic fit-outs led and owned by the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors. SKA rating helps landlords and tenants assess fit-out projects against a set of sustainability good practice criteria.

Zentia is on a sustainability journey of its own and we are working hard to research our key improvement areas. Zentia has recently established a sustainability committee to assess our environmental impact in more depth, beyond the scope of our ISO 14001 certification. We intend to set rigorous and trackable goals that will have a positive, measurable impact on our manufacturing processes and reduce our carbon footprint.

Zentia’s off-cut recycling service is open to Pinnacle Approved Partners. As specialist ceiling contractors, they can take their off-cut ceiling tiles to specific distributor branches and return them to Zentia for recycling. Get in touch with our Pinnacle Partner Manager to find out more.
