Biobloc Acoustic
Biobloc Acoustic is designed for use in healthcare environments. These suspended ceiling tiles can be installed where there is an average to severe risk of infection. Biobloc Acoustic ceiling panels have an additional coating which actively inhibits the growth of micro-organisms. Water repellent, they can be cleaned by wiping with a damp sponge and a spray disinfectant, as well as by fogging. They are designed to complement existing infection control measures.
Designed to support patient health and wellbeing, they combine enhanced acoustic performance with high light reflectance. This allows you to create a bright and calming interior in patient treatment areas.

Technical Performance
Sound
Previously known as Bioguard Acoustic, Biobloc Acoustic suspended ceiling tiles deliver Class C sound absorption and sound attenuation performance of 36dB. Combined with their antimicrobial properties, they support patient wellbeing by reducing noise annoyance and are ideal for healthcare settings.
Sustainability
Biobloc Acoustic ceiling tiles contain up to 42% recycled content. Biobloc Acoustic tiles are recyclable and can be recycled through Zentia’s recycling scheme for Pinnacle Approved Partners.
Biobloc Acoustic ceiling tiles are rated E1 for formaldehyde emissions and achieve Eurofins Indoor Air Comfort certification Gold for low VOC (volatile organic compound) emissions.
Fire safety and other technical performance details
Biobloc Acoustic ceiling tiles have been classified to EN 13501-1 fire standard and are rated A2-s1,d0. This means that under conditions of a fully developed fire, Biobloc Acoustic ceiling tiles will not significantly contribute to the fire load and fire growth.
These durable and scratch resistant ceiling tiles can be cleaned with a dry cloth or soft brush. They can also be gently wiped with a damp sponge or moist cloth and are suitable for fogging. They are rated 95% for relative humidity resistance.
Tegular24
Biobloc Acoustic suspended ceiling tiles can be ordered with a Tegular24 edge detail. Tegular24 edges are cut at a 105 degree open angle to slightly drop the ceiling tile below the ceiling grid once installed. This semi-bevelled edge adds visual style to the ceiling design without compromising the technical performance of the tile.

Biobloc Acoustic suspended ceiling tiles can also be ordered with a Tegular15 edge detail. These Tegular15 edges are cut at 90 degree angles that positions the ceiling tile below a 15mm ceiling grid. It partially conceals the metal ceiling grid when viewed from ground level, creating a shadowed effect. It is a simple but effective way to play with light and shade, particularly in combination with colour.
